Content is Still King
21st August 2006SEO, Web Design0 CommentsTwo years ago I wrote an article for my website entitled “Content is King”. It has been reused as published content several times by various organizations in the region. The article talks about Content and it’s positive relationship to Search Engines and ranking. On some of our larger sites which are updated on a frequent basis we see results that underscore the basic premise in this article which is that search engines are actively searching for updated and current content and how often you update or change your site can positively affect your web traffic. Take time to read the article “Content is King“, it is still pertinent…
With that said, let’s explore the reason I have not taken my own advice to heart and written more articles to post on my website as was my intention so long ago. Perhaps I need to entitle my next article – “Content is Hard” or maybe “If only I had the Time” or perhaps “Who writes this stuff !”. OK a sad attempt at humor there, I will get better with time and practice. It is obvious that understanding the benefits and having good intentions is not sufficient to grease the wheels of creativity and produce actual content. Something more is required….perhaps a plan or strategy would help?  Â
In my next post we will explore some content strategies that will hopefully serve to get me past my writers block and help other website owners who are planning to maintain their own websites or use blogging as a marketing tool.Â
